How to Order
The success of the final piece depends to a great extent on the quality of the photos used. For people or pet portraits, you can create good results by:
- Natural daylight is best, avoiding direct sunlight and using a flash.
- Positioning the subject so that the light hits them on one side
- Try for a variety of expressions.
- Big grins, while nice in snapshots, are less effective in portraits than more subtle expressions. Look at images on portraits page.
- For house photos, make sure there is some sun in the photo(s), and take close ups as well as shots that include the home's surroundings.
Also include shots of the house on an overcast day, when shadows aren't as black.
- If you aren't sure of the best angle take shots from several angles
